Greensboro U.S. Marshals End Suspect's Two and a Half Year Run From Justice

Greensboro, NC –  This morning at 06:00 AM, Javier Antonio Benitez-Fuentes, a 37 year old, Hispanic Male, was arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF), Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Greensboro Police Department. Benitez-Fuentes was wanted by the Greensboro Police Department for First Degree Sex Offense with a Child (two counts). Benitez-Fuentes had been on the run for approximately two and a half years.

The case began to progress after new information was received through a crime stoppers tip. Investigators were told that Benitez-Fuentes was living at 111 Concord Street under the alias of “Jose Benitez”. Investigators corroborated this information and set up surveillance. JFTF surrounded the residence and knocked on the door, the suspect refused to open the door. JFTF forced entry into the residence and located Benitez-Fuentes and detained him until further investigation. Benitez-Fuentes gave the officers’ an identification card in the name of “Jose Benitez”. The ICE agent on the scene finger-printed Benitez-Fuentes to confirm his identity and the print came back positive for Javier Antonio Benitez-Fuentes. Benitez-Fuentes was arrested without further incident and was transported to the Guilford County Detention Center where he was given a $100,000 bond.

U.S. MARSHALS MAKE 2 ARRESTS IN MURDER COLD CASE

U.S. Marshals Arrest Two in Cold Case

Greensboro, NC – On November 25, 2013 at 05:48 AM, Percibal Lesean Pettiford-Bynum, a 26 year old, black male was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF), the Person County Sheriff’s Office and the Wilson Police Department. Pettiford-Bynum was arrested without incident at 254 Hunter’s Edge Road in Timberlake, NC.

On the same morning, Donnie Hayes Jr., a 30 year old, black male was also arrested by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF), the Durham Police Department, and the Wilson Police Department. Hayes was taken into custody at his residence of 53 Lawson Street Apt. E in Durham, NC.
Both individuals were arrested in connection to the January 4, 2011 homicide of Omar Shariff Harris.

Investigators say Harris was shot and killed at his Rasberry Drive home in Wilson. Pettiford-Bynum and Hayes along with two other individuals, James Bernette Jones, 47, and Angelo Lindovis Jones, 53, were charged with first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and first degree burglary. The Jones’ were arrested on a later date by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation and the Wilson Police Department.

FELONY FUGITIVE ARRESTED

 Greensboro Task Force Grabs High Point Fugitive

High Point, NC – This morning at 10:00 AM, Jashon Terriese Singleton, a 21 year old, Black male was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) and the High Point Police Department Street Crimes Unit. Singleton was wanted on outstanding warrants for multiple counts of Felony Breaking and Entering, Larceny after Breaking and Entering and Injury to Personal Property by the High Point Police Department.

During the JFTF’s investigation, investigators conducted surveillance in the vicinity of 1209 E. Commerce Avenue in which Singleton was identified as a passenger in a vehicle driven by one of his family members. Members of the JFTF executed a vehicle stop and arrested Singleton. Singleton was transported to the High Point Police Department and was turned over to the lead detective on the case.

HOME INVASION SUSPECT'S RUN ENDED BY U.S. MARSHALS

U.S. Marshals End Elusive Home Invasion Suspect's Run

Winston Salem, NC –This afternoon at 1:15 PM, Andrew Michael Brackman, a 20 year old, white male was taken into custody by members of the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF). Brackman was wanted by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office for first-degree Burglary, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon and first-degree Kidnapping.

Brackman was alleged to be the final suspect in the August 16th home invasion off of Riverwood Drive in Southmont. Those previously arrested were Kaylle Michelle Wilkins, 25, and Charles Dietz, 23, both of 7168 Shallowford Road in Winston Salem, and Cole McKay Parris, 23, of 111 Peacock St. The Davidson County Sheriff’s Office alleged in arrest warrants that four people armed with handguns broke into a home on Riverwood Drive between the hours of 4:45 and 5:02 am August 16th. The warrants stated they took 10 firearms, $30,000 in cash, and jewelry in the value of $60,000 by threatening the use of a handgun and kidnapped one of the residents.

After eluding several law enforcement agencies and numerous acquaintances of Brackman concealing his whereabouts, a request was made by the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office for the Greensboro U.S. Marshals Service to assist in Brackman’s apprehension. The JFTF set up surveillance for multiple hours at his girlfriend’s home of 5297 Jay Bird Lane. After a brief stand-off, Brackman was arrested without incident and transported to the Davidson County Jail.

U.S MARSHALS CATCH MAN ON DURHAM'S MOST WANTED LIST

U.S. Marshals Catch One of Durham's Most Wanted

Durham, NC – This afternoon, Terrance J. Butler, a 21 year old, Black Male, was arrested by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force (JFTF) and the Durham Police Department. A true bill of indictment was returned and a warrant was issued for Butler for assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury, felony possession schedule VI controlled substance, possession with intent to manufacture sell and deliver a schedule VI controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Butler is also associated with the Bloods gang in the Durham area.

This indictment stemmed from an incident that occurred on January 21, 2013, when Durham Police Officers responded to a call regarding a subject with a gunshot wound at the 1000 block of Drew Street. The wounded subject was transported to Duke Hospital for medical treatment and allegedly received severe bodily damage. The condition of the wounded subject is unknown at this time.

Through extensive surveillance and interviews, members of the JFTF conducted a knock and talk at the residence and located Butler in the apartment. Butler was taken into custody at the Featherstone Village Apartments at 4916 Old Page Road without incident. Butler was transported to the Durham County Jail.
