St. Albans Fugitive Attempts to Flee When Confronted by U.S. Marshals
Burlington, VT -- The U.S. Marshals Service, Vermont Violent Offender Task Force (VVOTF) arrested a fugitive who was wanted for a Violation of Probation, stemming from an Assault and Robbery with a Weapon conviction in Burlington.
Jeffrey D. Robtoy, 43 of St. Albans, Vermont was arrested April 03, 2013 in St. Albans, Vermont. An arrest warrant was issued for Robtoy in March, 2013 when Robtoy was accused of violating the terms of his probation, alleging that Robtoy was using drugs and failing to report to his probation officer.
As Deputy U.S. Marshals, Vermont State Police and St Albans Police attempted to make contact at Robtoy’s residence, Robtoy attempted to flee out of a rear bedroom window, then retreated back inside the residence after he visually encountered police waiting for him. He was ultimately arrested inside his residence.
Robtoy is no stranger to the law, having been charged and or convicted of various crimes, to include Assault and Robbery with a Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Burglary, Possession of Heroin, Aggravated Domestic Assault and various other crimes. Robtoy will be arraigned in St. Albans District Court today.
The arrest was a result of a culmination of investigative efforts by the U.S. Marshals VVOTF, the Vermont State Police and the St. Albans Police Department.
